Terms of Service

This English version is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.

1. Purpose

These terms set out the conditions for using ZeroBase Lab (the "Service") operated by ZeroBase Lab (the "Operator"), and the rights and duties of the Operator and members.

2. Definitions

  1. A "member" is a person who signs in with a Google account and agrees to these terms.
  2. An "owner" is a member who posts an app for Google Play closed testing.
  3. A "tester" is a member who applies to test a posted app.
  4. "Points" are units used only within the Service and are not money.

3. The Service

The Service connects members so they can join each other's Google Play closed tests, and records participation and points. The Service is not affiliated with Google LLC and does not guarantee approval for Google Play production access.

4. Sign-up and account deletion

  1. You become a member by signing in with Google and agreeing to these terms and the privacy policy.
  2. You can delete your account at any time from Contact › Delete account. Close any recruiting apps and cancel ongoing tests first.
  3. On deletion your points are forfeited, and your apps and feedback remain without author information. Signing up again with the same Google account does not grant the sign-up bonus.

5. Points

  1. You receive 500P on sign-up.
  2. Posting an app costs 200P, refunded if recruiting ends without selecting any tester. Recruiting lasts 7 days and can be extended once.
  3. Each tester application deducts 20P from the owner, refunded if the tester is rejected or drops out.
  4. Testers pay a 50P deposit when applying. It is returned if they are rejected or cancel before selection, or complete 14 days. If a tester cancels after selection, the deposit goes to the owner; if the owner marks the tester as a dropout, it is forfeited.
  5. Testers receive 200P once 14 days have passed since they started the test.
  6. After a test ends, owners may send 10P for each helpful feedback, and the Operator may award an extra 50P for top feedback.
  7. Points cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to other members.
  8. The Operator may change the point rules and will announce changes in the Service beforehand.

6. Member obligations

Members must not:

  1. Create multiple accounts to gain points unfairly
  2. Log tests without actually testing, or repeatedly post meaningless feedback
  3. Post apps containing malware, illegal content, or content that infringes others' rights
  4. Use other members' emails or personal data for anything other than testing

7. Restrictions

The Operator may reclaim points from, or restrict or suspend, members who violate section 6.

8. Disclaimer

  1. The Operator is not responsible for the content or safety of posted apps, testers' actual participation, or Google Play review results.
  2. Any damage from installing or using a test app is to be resolved between the owner and the tester.
  3. The Operator is not liable for failures caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disasters or provider outages.

9. Changes and suspension

The Operator may change or discontinue the Service and will announce significant changes in advance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are resolved in the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
